Privacy Policy

Wendy Labs Inc (“Wendy Labs”, “we”, “us”) builds open-source software and hardware for Physical AI. This policy describes what information we collect through our website (wendy.dev), our documentation, the Wendy CLI, WendyOS, and Wendy Cloud, and how we use it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and the software that runs on your devices is open source so you can verify what it does.

Information we collect

• Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use wendy.dev — pages viewed, referral sources, and general device and location information. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Email address. If you subscribe to our newsletter or request a demo, we collect your email address and any details you choose to share (such as your name, company, and what you are building). We use this only to respond to you and send the updates you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• CLI usage telemetry. The Wendy CLI collects anonymous, privacy-first usage data: command names, sanitized error categories, CLI version, operating system, and a random installation identifier. It never collects file paths, source code, device contents, or personal information. You can disable telemetry at any time, and it is disabled automatically in CI environments.
• Purchases. Wendy Box orders are processed by our commerce provider (Shopify), which handles your payment and shipping details under its own privacy policy. We receive the information needed to fulfill your order.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• We do not collect the contents of your applications, models, or devices.
• WendyOS itself phones home only for the services you configure — OS update checks and, if you enroll a device, Wendy Cloud connectivity. Apps you deploy stay on your hardware.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve our products, respond to demo and support requests, send newsletters you subscribed to, fulfill hardware orders, and understand which features and content are useful. We retain personal information only as long as needed for these purposes.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run our business: Google Analytics (website analytics), Shopify (Wendy Box orders), our email provider (newsletter and transactional email), and cloud infrastructure providers that host our website and services. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, disable CLI telemetry, and request access to or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights. To exercise any of these, email us at contact@wendy.dev.
